STATEMENT
To provide an educational opportunity
for each student of St. Malachy School
to mature spiritually, intellectually,
culturally, socially and physically.
Hello! Welcome to fourth grade at St. Malachy School. This is a beautiful
school, with a wonderful, talented staff and such a supportive community
of families. Fourth grade is truly one of the ‘sweet spots’ along our
educational journey. Our year is spent gaining independence as lifelong
learners. Students generally self-select books to improve and practice
their reading skills. They also write their autobiography, and create their
own grammar journal. Touring our state’s capital and practicing survival
skills at a nearby forest preserve are just a couple of ways that we
investigate our world.
Each day we try to blend curiosity, creativity and compassion into our
studies—mixed with a good amount of laughter! We strive to remain
focused on our careers as students. Yet as Christian students, we
cultivate concern for our community, and hearts full of gratitude.
